Emily South grew up in Worcestershire, in a small countryside village. She studied Fine Art and Photography throughout her schooling and in 2014 moved to Greenwich, London for University.
While attending University of Greenwich she studied Architecture, learning all the technical elements and flourishing in the artistic side of her studies. Although the scientific path merged with the drawing and design peaked her interests, Emily found that the emphasis on computing and a technology based way of working steered her away from the career she aspired toward.
Since finishing University, the path towards becoming a Fine Artist has begun. Upcoming events and markets coupled with a string of commisions is leading Emily towards her new goal and inspiring an exciting future.
The work of Emily ranges from pet commissions to large skylines, with a complete range of materials used. She feels passionate about the work process and therefore is happy to explore themes and medium as demand dictates. Her work planned for the upcoming year includes debuting work at Greenwich market, creating an online presence to establish oneself and working on six week projects leading to events throughout the year allowing for a broad scope of subject matter in order to create an establishing and ranging portfolio to go forward with.
